LEAD SALON COORDINATOR & GUEST SERVICE EXPERT
Reports to: Salon Owner and Senior Stylist on duty
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Our Salon Coordinators lead our daily salon experience by providing premier quality service to our clients, both in-house and over the phone, while also anticipating the needs of our stylists and maintaining a consistent flow of salon operations.
Candidates must possess dynamic communication and interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and tech/social media knowledge. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize in a fast-paced environment is essential.
You must be available to work Saturdays and evenings.
The Nines Hairspa offers day and evening shifts Monday through Saturday, competitive hourly pay, monthly incentive bonuses, and career growth opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Ensure a thorough and excellent client appointment experience from beginning to end, which includes
scheduling, checking in, service, retail prescription, checking out, and rescheduling
• Demonstrate proficiency in Meevo operating system to schedule, edit and tender appointments
• Ensure client satisfaction by maturely responding to and resolving customer service and staff issues immediately, and escalating to Management as needed
• Perform opening and closing procedures including cash handling, cleaning and organizing, as well as frequent sweeps to ensure salon is clean, well-stocked, and clutter free at all times
• Work closely with Management to consistently follow and improve current processes and policies, as well as complete all necessary reporting and ordering
• Drive client retention and identify opportunities for growth (upselling, rebooking, gift cards, etc.)
• Motivate team to increase sales and reach goals
• Perform inventory control of retail and professional supplies
• Schedule trainings and educate team on new product developments and industry trends
• Post or assist stylists in posting daily to salon social media accounts
• Develop strategies to increase social media engagement
• Track progression of Assistant Training Program
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• High school diploma required, college degree desired
• Minimum five years customer service focused experience required, with specialized experience in a spa/salon environment a plus
• Must be able to work varying schedules, including weekends and evenings
• Computer literacy and technical troubleshooting skills required with experience in Meevo, Mac, Microsoft, and Adobe programs, as well as social media including Mailchimp, Facebook Business and Instagram Business a plus
• Self-motivated, ensuring productivity even during slow periods
• Positive force that maintains healthy relationships with management, team and guests
• Multi-tasking is second nature
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
• Effective communicator and detail oriented, with excellent listening and verbal skills
• Results driven strategic thinker who is well organized and confident
